The Russian language is as beautiful as it is complex, consisting of 33 letters of the (Cyrillic) alphabet and even richer phonetics. Russian letters are not always read as they are written (for instance, instead of “khorosho”, the Russians say “kharasho”) and the other letters and sounds are also quite particular. The accent in Russian not only falls on any of the syllables (unlike, say, French), but it also changes depending on the form of the word. Other challenging aspects of Russian are cases, the use of verbal aspects, that is to say the imperfective and perfective, although in Russian there are only 3 tenses (past, present and future). To communicate effectively with a potential Russian customer, it is very important to use the language correctly and consistently.
